7:45 CHOICES - children come between 7:45- 8:30

• read for fun/write stories or poetry
• play checkers, chess, or other board games
• do artwork
• listen to stories or music
• work on projects
• daydream
• visit quietly with friends
• practice music or sports skills
• work on computer projects/skills

8:40 PLANNING - whole group meeting with teacher to plan morning activities. All students must be present by 8:30.

8:45 LANGUAGE ACTIVITIES - reading, writing, listening, speaking, critical thinking, logic, spelling, social studies, music art

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (as scheduled)

11:15 REVIEW - whole group meeting to review progress made in morning activities - self-help before lunch

11:30 PRE-SCHOOL DISMISSAL – Pre-school students are dismissed for the day

11:45 CHAPEL - whole school gathers in the Community Room for Bible stories, singing, prayers, blessing, and sharing - parents, family members, friends are encouraged to join us

12:00 LUNCH - eating and talking family style - problem solving and/or ethical discussions

12:30 RECESS - walking, games, visiting, resting, talking, reading, listening, etc. (outside preferred when weather is acceptable)

1:00 PLANNING - whole group with teacher to plan afternoon activities

1:15 MATH AND SCIENCE ACTIVITIES - gardening, experiments, field trips, small group activities, projects, music, art, graphs, charts and many hands on activities

3:15 REVIEW - whole group with teacher to review progress made in daily plans

3:30 AFTERSCHOOL - School is dismissed at 3:30 but children may participate in after-school activities until 6:00 p.m. for an extra charge.
