Biography
I am originally from Gaston County. I graduated from Belmont High School. I attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, NC with an AB in Biology. I also received my M.Ed in Middle School Math from Queens College. I have a son and a daughter in this area and two grandaugthers. My oldest grandaughter is a student at Hope. I began my teaching career at Gaston Day School when the school first began. After spending time at home with my children I returned to Gaston Day for ten years. I have also taught in the Gaston County Schools and spent ten years in Wilmington, NC teaching middle school there. I returned to Gaston County and began teaching ath Hope Luthers this year.

How truly blessed I feel to be a part of the faculty here at Hope School! After teaching kindergarten and first grade for many years, I was led to this wonderful place. I graduated from Winthrop College with a BS in Family and Child Development. I am certified in grades K-6, but working with 5 and 6 year olds is my absolute favorite! My family and I are members of South Point Baptist Church in Belmont, where I also work with first graders in Sunday school. It is my pleasure to be here and work with such a great staff and student body.

She graduated from Gaston College with a credential for an Early Childhood administrator. She was the director and teacher of the Ginger Bread House for twenty-six years. She will complete her Associate Degree in Early Childhood this summer. This is fourth third year at HLS.

She graduated from Sacred Heart College in Belmont and has her Masters Degree in reading education from Appalachian State University. She enjoys all areas of science and is our leading science expert. This will be her fourth year at HLS with thirty two years of overall experience.

I am a product of Christian education because I was blessed with parents who believe in bible based training and sent me to Christian schools from kindergarten through college. I attended Free Will Baptist College where I received my B.A. degree in Christian Education. This is my sixth year in education and I am grateful for the God appointed opportunity to be a part of Hope Lutheran School.

I grew up in Dallas, NC graduating from North Gaston High School. I then attended Appalachian State University where I received a BS in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Science and Social Studies. I taught 5 years of 7th grade science and social studies at Cramerton Middle School. My family and I are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this growing Christian school and community.

Originally from Tennessee, I earned my B.S. Ed, with a major in biology and a minor in math, from the University of Memphis. I have lived in Tn., Al, Tx and Il but after 8 years in NC, I plan to call NC home forever. I have 8 years of teaching experience in both public and private education and I feel very blessed to be using my God given talents in a Christian environment again. My husband John and I have a 10 year old son, an 8 year old daughter and are members of Christ United Methodist Church on Union Rd.

Graduated from Ashley High School in Gastonia and Kings Business College in Charlotte. Worked as a secretary and retired from Cherry, Bekaert & Holland as an administrative assistant. She has been at HLS for four years.
